Autex Eggleston Motorsport AMG GT3 head to Sydney Motorsport Park ready to win.
Dominic Storey and Peter Hackett in the Autex AMG GT3 head into round two of the Australian Endurance Championship 2nd in the standings following a promising round at Phillip Island in May, however this time they are ready to tackle the opposition and win their first round together as a pairing.
A controversial result at round one left a bitter sweet taste when a win was certainly on the cards. The Autex AMG GT3 lead briefly a couple of times and looked in the pound seat before a pit lane hold up lost them track position and put the duo a lap down. Storey fought back to take 2nd place just a few seconds behind eventual winners Jaxon Evans and Tim Miles.
Sydney Motorsport Park proved a positive round in 2016, qualifying and finishing 6th place however a recent test day has ironed out the issues they faced during the 2016 race and both Storey and Hackett feel this is the time to bring home the result deserved.
Practice and Qualifying take place on Friday whilst the 501km race will take place Saturday as support category to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, both racing and Qualifying aired live on FoxSports (AUS) and SkySport (NZ).
“I am ready and more determined than ever to deliver a result to everyone that helps make this a reality, Autex and all my sponsors have stood by me the past 18 months and its time to deliver them a win” - Storey.
